1 البنوك العالمية
ليس خافيا على احد ان البنوك هم اكبر وأهم اللاعبين في ساحة تجارة العملات العالمية . هم يجرون آلافا من الصفقات اليومية على مدار الساعة ، يتبادلونها بين بعضهم،او مع البروكر اوالمستثمرين العاديين ، عبر ممثليهم الدائمين في هذا المجال . ولا يخفى ايضا ان التأثير الاكبر في تحريك السوق وتحديد وجهته ينحصر في يد كبار البنوك العالمية ، اذ ان صفقاتهم اليومية تبلغ مليارات الدولارات.

2 البنوك المركزية
البنوك المركزية تجري صفقاتها في هذا السوق بتكليف من حكوماتها ، وهي تتحرك في معظم الاحيان للتأثير في مجرى الوجهة التي تتخذها عملاتها الخاصة ، بحسب المصلحة التي تنسجم مع سياساتها المالية ، وتحمي بالتالي مصالحها الاقتصادية .

3 الصناديق الاستثمارية
هي تعود في معظمها الى الى مؤسسات استثمارية ، او صناديق تقاعد ، او شركات تأمين ، تتدخل في السوق بحسب ما تمليه مصالحها . أشهر هذه الصناديق نذكر " كوانتوم " وهو الصندوق الذي يملكه المستثمر المشهور جورج سوروس ، وهو الذي كتب تاريخا في هذا المجال وما زال يعتبر من اكبر المستثمرين القادرين على توجيه التأثير في مجرى السوق .

4 عملاء تجارة العملات
مهمة هؤلاء تنحصر في الربط الدائم بين المشترين والبائعين . بتعبير آخر هم يتحركون من جهة كوسطاء بين مختلف البنوك ، ومن جهة ثانية بين البنوك والمستثمرين العاديين . ومقابل
عملهم هذا تراهم يحتسبون عمولة او ما يسمى بروكرج .

5 الاشخاص المستقلون.
هؤلاء هم الاشخاص العاديون الذين يجرون يوميا عمليات تبديل هائلة بين العملات لتمويل رحلاتهم المزمعة ، أو لتأمين الحصول على مرتباتهم ،أو على تقاعدهم ، الخ.

واليوم على أثر الثورة التي أدخلتها الانترنت على عمليات الاتصالات العالمية ، وبعد الانهيارات المتتالية التي شهدتها أسواق الاسهم ، وتحت تأثير الاجواء الضبابية الذي تشهده اسواق
سندات الخزينة العالمية ، يتنامى شيئا فشيئا دور المتعاملين المستقلين الذين يملكون مبالغ مالية متواضعة في عمليات البيع والشراء اليومية السريعة " داي ترايدر ". يتنامى تأثيرهم
وينمو عددهم في سوق تبادل العملات الاجنبية ، بحيث ان الكثيرين منهم باتوا يمتهنون هذا العمل ، ويمضون ايامهم امام أجهزة الكمبيوتر يبيعون ويشترون كل بحسب رؤيته لمجرى أحداث
اليوم .
